We are experiencing gale force winds in Nantucket, just when it will be prudent to leave is unclear, maybe Monday, maybe not.We overnighted from Portland to Nantucket. All under power with no wind. Just as we arrived the heavens opened up with warm, heavy rain, the remains of hurricane ‘Ian’ I suspect. Now tied up in the Basin. Fiona is at Fore Points Marina in Portland. We will pick up Walter on Thursday and leave to head south on Friday.Fiona spent a night at Wiscasset and then rounded Cape Small to pick up a mooring at Sebasco Harbor. We plan to arrive Portland late on the 28th, where we will meet Walter who will crew for the trip home.We sailed through the Sheepscot River to get to Wiscasset, a quaint and nostalgic town in Maine.Fiona arrived in Boothbay on Saturday afternoon after a brisk sail with 20 to 30 knot winds. We are tied up at the Tugboat Inn if anyone wants to stop by and say hello!
