Peter, the refrigeration tech, diagnosed the freezer problem as a defective cold plate.John, my neighbor, and myself, pulled the freezer apart and discovered the cold plate had lost the eutectic mixture.I fixed the leak and filled it with an antifreeze/water mix.  Walter helped me reinstall it.   Peter came, rechecked the freon circuit for leaks, and then pumped it down and added 134A.   I replaced the foam insulation and rebuilt the woodwork.   The freezer is a go for next year.  I am now working in the forward head – the holding tank had broken the restraining straps and needs rebuilding.   Walter winched me up the mast to remove the tricolor light, which has problems.   Weather is turning colder, soon I will button up Fiona for winter.
